Where there is no surety or deposit there must be

cash payment against the delivery of the shells of our

company.

10.

Should any lime-kiln-owners owe any arrears of the

price of shells all boats shall all at once cease dealing

with him for the time-being and shall not be allowed to

secretly deliver shells to him until all the arrears have

been paid up when they shall be again allowed to give him

delivery.

11.

Boats of our company shall be the first party to

deliver (shells); Sai Heung Boats the second; Kau-chai

Boats the third; and Canton Boats the fourth. From the day

of the start of the business of our company all old boats

shall be counted over and distributed amongst the various

kilns. No additional boats shall be allowed to the new

boats in order to prevent the privilege of the old boats

from being shared and taken away. All old boats shall not

be allowed to make extortions. If they do our company

shall engage other new boats for the supply of all kilns

and shall drive the boats that make extortions out of the

limited area and shall not allow them to dredge for shells

therein.

12.

From 12 o'clock every day our company shall send

boats to the limited area to examine the boats when no

boat shall be allowed to evade exan ⚫ation under any

pretances. Should the boats commit such evil they shall --

certainly be expelled.

13.

When our company's deputy has examined so-and-80

boat which has no such-and-such a day dredged for shells

within the limited area, the captain of so-and-so boat

shall sign some writing as proof so as to facilitate the

calculation of the accounts of the price of shells in

every month.

14.

On the 29th day of every Western month an account of
